University Health Breast Center
6,700 SF
LK Design Group was selected through a rigorous competitive RFQ process that included a design competition and interview. The project involved transforming a former credit union into a state-of-the-art breast imaging center.
With a focus on maximizing natural light and incorporating organic finishes, the design reflects the belief that nature plays a meaningful role in healing. Every detail of the space was intentionally crafted to provide patients with a calm, uplifting environment—particularly during procedures like mammograms, when anxiety or uncertainty may be heightened.
The result is a fresh, welcoming experience that supports patient comfort and well-being at every step.

915 South Laredo Medical Office Building
20,000 SF
LK Design Group was engaged to design a new ground-up headquarters for Kidney & Hypertension Transplant Specialists in San Antonio. Located at the intersection of Guadalupe Street and South Laredo Street within a historic overlay district, the project required a thoughtful balance between contemporary healthcare design and the architectural character of the surrounding neighborhood.
Guided by the vision of creating a modern, state-of-the-art facility that offers patients a calm and welcoming environment, our team developed a design that meets the clinical needs of the practice while honoring the historic context. Through careful material selection, façade articulation, and sensitivity to scale, the project successfully incorporated complementary historic design elements and received approval from the Historic Design Review Commission.
As part of the holistic healing experience, LK Design Group collaborated with a local San Antonio artist to commission a custom sculpture for the onsite healing garden—further enhancing the sense of tranquility and connection for patients and staff.
